Author Guidelines
- The corresponding author must be a PhD, preferably eligible for exemption or a discount according to our fee policy.
- The author(s) are required to insert their ORCID at submission stage within their user account in LASSIJ. The author/co-author ORCIDs are embedded into article metadata in the online system of LASSIJ.
- The minimum word limit for a manuscript of a quantitative study is 5000 words including the list of references.
- Manuscript of a qualitative and/or mix-method study should be from 6000-7000 words including the list of references.
- Before, submission to LASSIJ, the manuscripts should be edited by an English language expert, preferably a native speaker.
- Style of the referencing and citation should be ensured as per APA guidelines (latest edition).
- An in-text citation style should be used with a list of the references at the end of the manuscript.
- LASSIJ reserves the right to edit, modify, make addition or deletion to the article or may request corresponding author to do so.
- Text of the article shall be single-spaced, used 12-point font, employed italics, rather than underlining (except with URL addresses).
- All illustrations, figures and tables shall be placed within the text at the appropriate points, rather than at the end of the manuscript.
- Maximum two manuscripts of an author shall be published in a single issue, one as principal author and another as co-author.
- The manuscript already submitted elsewhere and under review for publication shall not be submitted to or accepted by the LASSIJ.
- The corresponding author shall ensure that there is no conflict of interest among the principle author and the co-authors.
- The corresponding author shall esure that there is no plagiarism in the manuscript, and the similarity is less than 10% and is properly cited with original source(s).
- The international standards of research ethics must be followed and ensured by the authors/co-authors.
- Complete affiliation details of the authors/co-authors shall be provided at the submission stage of manuscript.
- The Email ID of corresponding author and ORCID of all authors will be published on the final accepted/approved manuscript.
- A manuscript, once accepted for peer-review process in LASSIJ cannot be withdrawn by the author(s).
- The manuscripts considered for peer-review shall not be submitted/published elsewhere, unless rejected by LASSIJ.
- A manuscript accepted for editorial review or peer-review does not mean an approval for the publication of the article.
- An acceptance letter may be issued for a manuscript after the peer-review, only if approved by the editorial board for publication.
- Peer reviewed and approved manuscripts are published with a date of submission and a date of online publication.
- Author(s) will sign an agreement/undertaking allowing LASSIJ the non-exclusive right to circulate the article and all other derivative works such as translations.
- The author(s) are advised to carefully read the author guidelines and ensure that all the requirements and conditions of LASSIJ are fulfilled before submission of the manuscript.
- Manuscript shall be submittd online in MS Word file to the editorial team after registeration and/or log-in by the corresponding author to the user account on the website/online system of LASSIJ.
